Windsurfing: Hove Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4-5 Surf / Sea State: Waist high waves Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Perfectly timed session at Hove. I had painted one door frame and half the
skirting board when I heard the bin blow over. Got to beach in 15mins and
it was light, but rigged 5.9m anyway. Launched at 2:30pm and the moment I
stepped on it got proper windy!! Lots of fun, but lonely so I tacked
upwind a mile or so from Fatboy Slim's up to Carat's cafe in about 6 tacks.
Jumps and gybes and mucking around in the high tide swell, slightly better
waves near the hotpipes. The end of the pipes really changes the wave, even
in relatively small stuff. Big downwinder to get back, riding swell etc.
Ominous black clouds over the land so aimed direct for the start beach and
JUST reached the groyne as it seemed to drop for the end of play at 4:05pm.
Picked up daughter from party at 4:30pm. Sweet.
